KKR beat Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by 14 runs in their IPL clash at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday and kept their semifinal hopes alive.

Chasing a victory target of 182 runs, Delhi managed 167/8 in their 20 overs. Virender Sehwag made 64 and captain Gautam Gambhir 47. The match turned on its head when Sehwag edged a Ajit Agarkar delivery onto his stumps after hitting 3 sixes and 6 fours in his magnificent 64-run knock that came off 40 balls.

Earlier, Ganguly's 56, Mathews' 46 and Chris Gayle's 40 took Kolkata Knight Riders to 181/3 in their IPL clash against Delhi Daredevils.

Ganguly's 46-ball knock was studded with 8 fours and a six.

Ganguly hit his sixth IPL fifty soon after Rajat Bhatia clean bowled Chris Gayle (40).

CSK beat Mumbai Indians by 24 runs

Chasing a target of 166 runs set by Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians could score only 141 runs, losing by 24 runs, in an Indian Premier League match at the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.
Mumbai Indians lost 6 wickets in 6 overs after Sachin Tendulkar retired ill due to dehydration.It was after the ninth over that Tendulkar retired ill with the Mumbai score at 62/1. In the tenth over, Suresh Raina had Ambati Rayudu (3) stumped by MS Dhoni.

Tendulkar came back in the field at this point but two overs later, Thushara had him caught by Vijay at long-on as Mumbai lost their captain with 105 runs on the board.

KKR beat Deccan Chargers by 24 runs

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Deccan Chargers by 24 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.

Sourav Ganguly leading from the front with a 54-ball 88. He slammed a quick-fire fifty. Ganguly smashed seven fours and two sixes and race to fifty in just 39 balls. Kolkata Knight Riders made 181/6 against Deccan Chargers.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won the toss and decided to bat first.

CSK win by 5 wickets against RCB

Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by five wickets off 19 overs and broke their jinx of four successive defeats, at the M A Chidambaram Stadium on Wednesday.

Chennai Super Kings scored 166 in just 19 overs against the target of 161 set by the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Earlier, batting first on winning the toss, the Royal Challengers made 161 for 4 in 20 overs but failed to defend the score.

The Super Kings have now three wins in eight matches to take their points tally to six. The Challengers, who suffered their third loss in seven mataches, have four wins. Their point tally is eight.

DD vs RR : Delhi beat Rajasthan by 67 runs

Delhi Daredevils registered a comprehensive 67-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals at the Ferozeshah Kotla in Delhi on Wednesday to move to the second spot at the points table in IPL 2010.

Daredevils' fifth win and its third in a row ended Royals' four-match winning streak. The result raised Daredevils' tally to 10 points and kept Royals at eight.

Dinesh Karthik produced a priceless 69 and effected three dismissals to walk away with the Man-of-the-Match award. Leg-spinner Amit Mishra scalped three wickets, while David Warner took four catches and pulled off a run-out to make amends for his failure to fire with the bat.

Delhi Daredevils: 188 for 6 in 20 overs (Dinesh Karthik 69, Gautam Gambhir 43; Sumit Narwal 3/36).
