Man U to offer lucrative incentives to Rooney

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney will be offered a series of jaw-dropping bonuses similar to what Cristiano Ronaldo received last year as part of the club's strategy to keep him.


According to reports, officials at Old Trafford are troubled by the growing Spanish interest in their star striker, with Barcelona and Real Madrid said to be mustering a mega-money bid.


It is believed that United are set to increase the 24-year-old's weekly wage from 100,000 pounds to 140,000 pounds in their bid to keep the England striker that amounts to a rise in salary of over 2-7.3 million pounds.
