India leads medal tally at South Asian Games on Day four

India's brilliant run at the 11th South Asian Games continued on Day four of the competition in Dhaka, as the table leaders won six more gold medals, with some dominant performances in Judo, Badminton and Cycling.

India had a tally of 11 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze at the end of Day Four.

India on Monday began fourth day in the 11th South Asian Games with their third gold when Mahita Mohan topped the women's 50km road race mass start.

The Silver went to Sri lanka’s Lasanthi Krishna and the bronze to Rameswari Devi of India.

With this win India’s medal tally in the games has gone up to 7 with five gold and two bronze.

For Mahita, this was her second gold as she had earlier clinched a team title in the women's 30km time trial event.

Mahita clocked 1 hour 25 minutes 42 seconds to finish first ahead of Lasanthi Krishna Goonathilaka of Sri Lanka.

For the Indian cyclists, this was third gold in as many consecutive days.

The men's team on Sunday won the 80km time trial.
